Born and raised in Larissa, Yiannis Gouliaras grew up under the influence of the great Greek musicians. His love for music emerged from a young age, making the bouzouki his favorite companion on the path of art. With teacher Nikos Raftoulis, he paved the way for a path full of discoveries and creation.

In 1997, his first contact with making musical instruments marked the beginning of a new adventure. Based on advice and experiences from experts in the field, the art of instrument making began to unfold before him.

An important milestone in his career was the collaboration with Themis Papavasileiou, where his sound received international recognition through major record productions. Afterwards, collaborations with famous composers and soloists, such as Panagiotis Stergiou and Panagiotis Apostolidis, were another stage in his professional journey.
